Meet Partners in Animal Welfare

Each year, more than 6 million companion animals enter shelters across the United States, according to the ASPCA. While many animals arrive at shelters as strays, others are surrendered by their owners for any number of reasons, including because of the lack of availability and high cost of veterinary care and other services.

Partners in Animal Welfare (PAW) was established in 2021 by a small group of volunteers with a background in animal welfare who saw a unique opportunity to address the critical need for services for pet families in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Our mission is to keep animals in loving homes by providing affordable access to veterinary care, behavior support services and humane education for animals and their guardians.

Today, we provide a variety of services including free and low-cost veterinary medical care for cats and dogs, as well as behavior training and humane education programs for children and adults.

We partner with city officials, community groups and businesses to host clinics throughout Silicon Valley, educational initiatives including school and camp visits, corporate team-building events and more.
